Today is the 31st of December, the last day in 2006. I was working in Chinese Fireworks, with Melissa, Paul, Mark, John, and of course Shay, the owner of the company and his dad Ken, a very very kind senior. We actually have turned the boss-staff relationship into a sort of friendship with Shay and his families. I didn't feel that I was working for him. It's like to do a lovely favour to a friend. The work was easy and interesting. The new year's atmosphere was full of the store, accompanied by the sound of fireworks, the festival music, the smile on everybody's face. We made jokes with each other, said Happy New Year to customers, and got wishes from them. I also learned from John that when someone finished a task, you should put both of your thumbs up to him and say 'Job is Gooden' with a strong Yorkshire accent. We finished at 5:00pm, and said Happy New Year and Goodbye to everyone. Shay let us give him an email when we go back and keep in touch when we are in China. When we walked out of the door, he shouted me back and handed me two packs of jumbo sparklers. What a nice boss, oh, no, a good friend indeed. He actually had given us a selection box and a pack of rockets at the end of the work at Bonfire Night in November. 'Never take me serious, you know me', said from Shay today. Ok, we will keep in mind and thanks a lot. Eventually, I would like to say, thanks very much, guys, I wish you all a great 2007!
