| Yet Another Year, Children's Day |

It's another Children's Day... If I was right, last year, we went to Chatsworth House today... The Children's Day is not really internationally wide. At least in the UK, children dont have today as a special holiday. Also in some countries, the date of Children's Day is not on the specific 01/06. But for all Chinese children, 01/06 is the happiest day of the year. I can still remember how I was excited for the Children's Day when I was a child. Usually in one or two weeks ahead, I started to look forward to the Day anxiously. The most impressive days were when I lived in a village. On the Children's Day, my parents gave me and my brother some money. Then we walked from the village to the town centre which was about 4 miles away. At that time, we were 9 or 10 years old. It took us over 1 hour walking on the way. We very much enjoyed walking across woods, brooks and fields, along with a lot of laughing, singing, breaking, climing and chasing around. In the town centre, we basically had two things to do. The first one was to go to a so called 'Big Hall' to watch a 4-hour lasting entertainment show which was performed by pupils from schools around the town. This seemed very important to us and we could not miss it in any way. The second thing was to spend the MONEY! Although the money was actually not much, we did feel it's quite enough for us for buying icecream or 'cold noodle', or playing electronic games etc. In the end, it's always proved a really lovely day. Now, when I look back to those days nealy 20 years ago, all the fun on Children's Day was obtained so simply, but very genuinely. Though today we have way too many things better than those in past days, who can say that we can still easily get real happiness from the bottom of our hearts? Like we did in our childhood...
