04/11/2004--04/24/2004 Happy Days!
Took part in the IBM Foundation School of ELT in Beijing.
Totally 40 campus hired graduates from Beijing Shanghai Guangzhou
Shenyang Taiwan shared 14 training days and finally we became
dear friends. We also had a nice trip to the Great Wall and
were surprised by this worldclass miracle.

Next night, I will set out to go back to my dear hometown,
a remote but beautiful small town in west China. Due to the
long distance, it will take 50 hours for the train to get
me home. Now I am too impatient to wait for seeing my parents,
my grandmother,my friends. There is a song surrounding my
ears, "Country roads, take me home, to the place I belong......"

| I met GR
Chen at the symposium |

It's my great pleasure to meet
GR Chen, a world-class professor from City University
of Hong Kong. In fact I had communicated with him by emails
and extremely admired his preeminent contribution in chaos
reserach field. He seemed a little thinner than his photo
but full of energy and wisdom. Through talking with him, I
found he was a very kind person and easy to approach. I think
I have got a lot of thing from him not only in academic research
but also in career life. These days are really memorable in
my life! 
Shanghai International Symposium on Nonlinear Science &
Applications 2003 has been held on Nov. 9-13, 2003 at Ocean
Hotel in Shanghai. I was invited to attend this symposium
since my paper was accepted in its proceedings. During the
meeting, scholars from all over the world shared their outstanding
research work and wonderful ideas. I also communicated with
some scholars from USA,UK,Singapore,Russia and the area of
Tai Wan and Hong Kong. I like it very much.
