I have never seen such strong wind in my life until I was pushed forward by the 'wind' this morning. The wind forced me to walk and I almost had no choice except moving my legs. It may be the first time that I felt exactly the power of the nature. But why the nature did this to human beings? As reported by BBC, eleven people have died during the strike of the wind. Some of them were killed by falling branches even walls. And public transport has been severely disrupted. BBC used various words such as storm, gale and gust to stand for the 'wind'. Many people's lives were affected accordingly. A bad news to my friend Bernard was that flights in Manchester airport were cancelled. His girlfriend Lijun was supposed to go back to Malaysia from Manchester. But now she has to stay and wait for new flight schedules. It might be a good thing on the other side because the couple can stay together for a couple of more days in Sheffield. I hope that the storm will calm down by Sunday when I fly back to China from Heathrow airport.
